Our academic programs at SEFOVAN now have full accreditation in Spain and Italy.
It was the result of something that happened in January 2006, in San Jose, Costa Rica. There we signed a momentous agreement with the Evangelical University of the Americas (UNELA), which will allow us to offer bona fide and accredited associate's degrees, bachelor's degrees, master's degrees, and even doctorate degrees.
No, it's not a dream- but it certainly is a miracle! Why do I say that?
Because not since the Reformation . . . not since before the Inquisition . . . has an Evangelical entity in Spain been allowed to offer legitimate degrees in Bible and theology apart from the state church. But as of the 26th of January 2006, SEFOVAN can.
In addition, the Rome-based Italian branch of our new UNELA program will enjoy the same privileges from the day it opens its doors! Because any student enrolling in our programs and fulfilling the academic requirements is technically a UNELA student, they also will be fully accredited for the work they do in our SEFOVAN-Italy program.
So from the very moment the new seminary launches in Rome, all students will be earning legitimate credits for government-recognized degrees.
This is the culminating victory after a long, uphill battle. Until now, all non-government seminaries have been giving "equivalent degrees"-something not many people have been excited about.
All of our students have come and studied simply because of a faith-conviction that God, Who led them to us, would use the training as He deemed best. We are thrilled and thankful for this miraculous breakthrough that will provide the academic recognition these dedicated students truly earn in our program.
